Innovation & Our Cows
Better systems.
Thoughtful cow care.
At Frisii, the well-being of our Holstein Friesian herd shapes the way we farm. Comfortable spaces, balanced nutrition and connected technology work together every day.

Our Cows
Care begins with the everyday.
With their distinctive black-and-white coats and Dutch and German heritage, Holstein Friesian cows are at the heart of Frisii. Our approach brings together spacious shelter, balanced diets, clean water and attentive everyday care.
Comfort & well-being
Spacious housing, clean drinking water, regular health checks and gentle handling support the daily well-being of our cows.
Balanced feeding
Our feeding programme includes timely harvested silage, alfalfa, maize, rye grass, oats, hay, kadba, wheat bran and oats bran. Carefully planned rations and regular diet evaluation support the nutritional needs of the herd.
From fodder to feed
Our 62-acre fodder farm and approximately 250 acres of contract cultivation with local farmers support a dependable feed supply. Total Mixed Ration (TMR) wagons mix and distribute the ingredients consistently.
Thoughtful breeding
Selected Holstein Friesian semen and IVF support our breeding programme. We follow lineage and the development of calves as the next generation grows, alongside regular health checks and gentle handling.
Our approach to milk production
We do not use hormone injections to enhance milk production. Our focus remains on nutrition, comfortable surroundings and consistent care.
Innovation at Frisii
Technology with a clear purpose.
GEA systems support automated milking, feeding, manure management and digital herd monitoring. Together, these systems help our team maintain consistent routines and respond to the needs of individual animals.
Automated milking
Our 48-cow rotary milking parlour supports an organised process. Udder hygiene, equipment cleaning and gentle handling are followed by milk cooling and storage as part of the daily routine.
Consistent nutrition
TMR wagons prepare and distribute feed consistently. The farm combines GEA systems with supporting equipment from Strautmann in Germany and Plastag in Australia.
Digital herd monitoring
Digital herd records help the team follow milk yield, behaviour and health indicators. Reviewing changes in individual animals supports informed decisions and timely attention to daily care.
Cleaner farm routines
GEA manure scrapers clean cow areas frequently, helping keep surfaces cleaner and drier. Manure reuse and thoughtful use of feed and other resources form part of our approach to responsible farming.
